Working with a Certified Financial Professional®

What is a CFP®?

Our financial advisors are Certified Financial Planners (CFP®) who have met the rigorous certification and renewal requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc.

Through the CFP® certification process, each advisor is well-equipped to handle diverse financial situations and provide advice tailored to individual client needs. With this certification, they have demonstrated to be competent in multiple areas of finance:

  • Financial planning — developing comprehensive plans to help clients work toward goals
  • Tax planning strategies — assisting clients in managing and potentially minimizing their tax burden
  • Investment planning — helping clients make more informed decisions about their investments
  • Estate planning strategies — designing a plan to efficiently transfer wealth to heirs through wills, trusts, and other strategies to pass assets as intended
  • Insurance — evaluating and advising insurance coverage such as property and casualty, life, health, disability, and long-term care to help safeguard assets from premature liquidation
  • Retirement planning — reviewing the financial situation and retirement income needs and making recommendations to work toward retirement goals
  • Wealth management — managing investments and strategies to work toward desired outcomes and goals
  • Education funding — helping plan and fund a child's education
  • Wealth transfer strategies — designing a wealth transfer plan to help manage estate taxes
  • Business succession planning — preparing a business owner for the sale of their business and what comes after
  • Risk management — identify and manage risks that can derail any financial plan.
  • Debt management — Designing a plan to mitigate debt

How our clients benefit from working with us

  1. Comprehensive financial planning

We view your financial health holistically, assessing your financial situation and understanding your short-term and long-term goals. Once we understand clearly, we will formulate a comprehensive financial plan as our guide. As life changes, so should your plan. We will continue to modify it as needed as life unfolds.

This approach to financial planning interconnects all aspects of your financial life—saving, investing, tax planning strategies, insurance, retirement, and estate planning strategies—as we help you manage your overall objectives.

2. Specialized advice

Because each CFP® at our firm is thoroughly trained and experienced, they provide individualized advice on numerous financial situations. Whether you're facing a complex tax situation, a major life-changing event, unsure of your insurance coverage, or need help creating and managing an investment portfolio, they will help you navigate these challenges.

3. Fiduciary responsibility

The most significant benefit of working with a CFP® is their fiduciary duty. Having the CFP® certification means they must put your interests above their own. They will advise and make recommendations based on what is appropriate for you, developing a transparent relationship.

4. Ongoing financial management

When we create a financial plan, we also provide ongoing management, monitor its progress, and make necessary adjustments as your circumstances change. We will always keep you informed about critical financial matters, addressing those relevant to your situation.

5. Financial independence

Knowing that a CFP® manages your wealth gives you financial independence so you can focus on other aspects of your life.
